Baja California Sur is one of the states with the lowest population density in Mexico. The peninsula is made up of arid ecosystems between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, which produces very particular geographical conditions. Being the last piece of land starting from Alaska, passing through the northwest of America, and the arm of California, it causes millions of migratory birds to stop to stock up on food to continue their route to the center and south of the continent. The coasts of the peninsula are the destination of many species that find refuge to reproduce, like the blue whale and the humpback whale, among other marine mammals. These phenomena generate an impressive biological activity throughout the year.
